| REPORTS TO: Head of Sales Job Purpose: Working for the UK’s largest independent supplier of generator solutions this role is to assist and support the head of sales and his field sales team in the swift and accurate production of quotations and tender responses. The aim of our sales department is to provide an industry leading pre and post sales service a key aspect of which is the timely production of high quality quotations and technical submittals. KEY TASKS & MAIN DUTIES 1. Work with and support the Field Sales Team with the preparation of estimates, quotations and completion of tenders; providing them with a reactive quotation production service. 2. Issue specifications to specialist sub-contractors and other suppliers 3. Check with client to ensure quotation has been received and secure direct feedback on behalf of the sales person 4. Take responsibility for quoting and selling standard products of ratings up to 100kVA 5. Keep up to date all sales quote templates, cost quote templates, product price lists, client standard price lists and other pricing vehicles as and when required 6. Keep the field sales team up to date with any price changes 7. Help with the construction of standard documentation and preparation and return of tenders. 8. Ensure that all quotations, be they for standard products, ex rental machines or quotations required by the sales team, are issued to customers in a timely fashion. 9. Ensure client contact data base is kept up to date Principal Interactions: The principal interactions for this post are with: - • External o Consultants, contractors and end users o Key suppliers / sub-contractors • Internal o Sales team o Sales Admin support o Projects team o Rental sales team o Service sales department o Accounts department Knowledge / Educational Requirements / Experience The successful candidate will ideally have: • Experience of working in a mechanical or Electrical estimating environment • Good customer handling skills along with a sound commercial perspective. • A good level of IT skills and be very familiar with the Microsoft Office suite • Had exposure to and an understanding of ISO 9001.
