Power Electrics Supply Training to 110 WPD Engineers

Power Electrics In conjunction with Western Power Distribution Training have recently supplied Generator training courses to over 100 Western Power Distribution (WPD) engineers. The one day WPD courses were tailored to WPD’s own connection policy for low voltage synchronising diesel generators. Involving both classroom theory and practical learning the courses were held at Power Electrics own training facility in Bristol.
Taking place over a month, the WPD engineers received their training in groups of 10 to ensure an environment that gave the delegates the opportunity to get hands on in a practical environment.
WPD are the electricity distribution network operator for the Midlands, South Wales and the South West. Delivering electricity to over 7.6 million customers over a 55,300 square kms service area the company often use diesel generator as standby emergency power sources.
Power Electrics is Europe’s only accredited FG Wilson training centre and facilities include a dedicated training centre, multiple classrooms and test cells.
