Redesign offers Customer Benefits
April 4th 2011
FG Wilson's latest 26-200kVA range of generators is now being offered by Power Electrics. There are 23 models in the range, which have been redesigned by FG Wilson to increase the serviceability of the generators via a common sense approach to component arrangement.
The Open Set Range offers improved cable access and same side positioning of frequently serviced items. A wide fuel fill neck on the base frame allows easy access and fill by the operator, thus avoiding spills. Its control panel tower is mounted on the side of the set and has a full height door giving total access to all components and wiring. Drag points on the base frame help to ease transportation and reduce the risk of damage during forklift and other handling. A robust base frame which is paint coated, also offers enhanced corrosion resistance.
The Robust Enclosed Product Range has a new design that is well suited to diverse applications. Its galvanised steel construction, finished with advanced powder coat paint, provides protection against handling damage.
Its base frame extends beyond the enclosure reducing possible handling damage, and side hinged doors ease maintenance access. Hook latches ensure operator safety, preventing unintended closure. Radiator cleaning and maintenance are carried out through removable end panels.
Lift-off hinges allow the doors to be totally removed, even at an angle of 45, thus aiding service in confined spaces. Its single piece main roof incorporates flush mounted rain caps with compression seals, allowing access to the radiator fill and single point lift, whilst providing protection against water ingress.
Modular air handling units contribute to a reduction in noise output, and corrosion resistant corner posts provide protection against damage during handling and transportation.
